Being a sustainable hotel in Florence means believing that true hospitality is truly exclusive only when it’s based on respect — for people, the environment, and the community around us.
Every day, we nurture an idea of hospitality that combines history, comfort, and responsibility, taking care of the well-being of those who stay at the Rivoli Boutique Hotel and of the place we call home.
In 2025, the achievement of the DCA ESG Certification recognized and rewarded our concrete commitment to a mindful, transparent, and responsible hotel model.
This certification was issued by Dream&Charme, an internationally accredited organization that assesses and certifies hospitality facilities based on rigorous environmental, social, and governance sustainability standards.
Rivoli Boutique Hotel thus becomes a “Certified Sustainable Accommodation”, in line with international parameters that have positively evaluated the impact and conscious management of our operations.

We have also implemented tailored solutions to optimize water and energy consumption and to reduce single-use plastics throughout the hotel.
Our internal garden — an oasis of tranquility in the heart of the city — is maintained using sustainable methods and native plants that promote biodiversity.
The DCA ESG certification marks an important milestone in our journey, but not a final destination.
We will continue to invest in sustainable practices, technological innovation, and staff training, constantly improving the quality of our service and our impact on the planet.
A few small measures can make a big difference. For example, remember to take the stairs instead of the elevator (each avoided ride saves 0.05 kW), make sure to turn off unused lights, and unplug smartphone and computer chargers when they are sufficiently charged. In winter, heat your room without excess: every extra degree means 334 kg of CO2 per year. In summer, make sure that the temperature difference does not exceed 6°C (the limit for a healthy indoor environment). In the bathroom, remember to use only the amount of water you need, starting with the shower (a five-minute shower can use up to 60 liters of water) and even while brushing your teeth, during which it is best to turn off the tap.
The Caridi family, always connected to Florence, opens the doors of the Rivoli Boutique Hotel to the city and its children every year, hosting the Nativity Scene Exhibition free of charge and transforming the hotel into a place of sharing and wonder. Their commitment to the community continues through their support of the Tommasino Bacciotti Foundation, which provides free housing to the families of young patients at the Meyer Hospital. In 2025, this embrace of solidarity was rewarded with an important recognition from the Foundation itself.
